Owner Owner Vas Gaberov graduated as a master hand carver from the Technical School of Wood-Carving in Bulgaria. Vas came to the United States in 1990 and started Vas Design in 1993. In the last 14 years, he has produced high-end custom furniture, hand-carved church altars, and custom fireplace mantels for a variety of customers in the Chicagoland area. In the summer of 2000, Vas Design opened a new showroom where we display over a dozen fireplace mantel models and work directly with our clients.
